We hire educators and subject experts for live classes. Every one of them completes the screening their role requires, and has it verified by somebody else, before they meet a learner. What that screening includes is decided by the role, the setting, the state and how much contact it has with children.

Skhillz approval means an educator and listing completed the applicable marketplace process. It does not make an educator a Skhillz Academy employee, and it does not mean a class carries academic credit.

Who can teach on Skhillz?
Educators, tutors, professionals, and subject-matter experts who can design and deliver clear, age-appropriate learning experiences.
Do I need a teaching license?
Not for every subject. Requirements depend on the learners, the subject, and the format, and are identified during review.
Who sets the price?
Pricing is set within marketplace guidelines, and the listing states the price, refund terms, and cancellation policy before anyone registers.
How and when are educators paid?
Payout terms are provided during onboarding and confirmed in the educator agreement before your first class.
Can I teach adults?
Yes. Skhillz lists classes for children, teens, adults, parents, families, and educators.
Where we are strict
We will check you thoroughly.
That is the job. Families hand us their children, and the only reason they can is that we are strict with the adults, including you.

Planning a session, choosing the examples, deciding what to cut. The part of teaching that happens before anybody is in the room.
If this is not the right relationship
Three other ways in, and they are genuinely different.
- A teaching or tutoring position inside a program Skhillz operates. Those are posted separately, with the pay, the classification and the location on every one.
- One workshop rather than an ongoing class. Presenters are paid by a share of what it takes, a fixed fee, sponsorship, or an agreed no-fee arrangement.
- Roles with families, schools or programs that are not Skhillz. That is the education professional network, and joining it is not a job application or a promise of work.
Each has its own agreement, its own screening and its own records. Joining one does not put you in another.
