Skhillz Academy, LLC is committed to a safe, respectful, inclusive, and productive learning community. This Code applies to learners, parents, guardians, household members, guests, school and organization users, and anyone participating in Skhillz Academy programs, portals, events, communications, or community spaces.

1. Core Expectations

Participants must:

  • Treat others with dignity and respect
  • Follow lawful, reasonable staff directions
  • Participate honestly and constructively
  • Protect privacy and personal boundaries
  • Use technology safely and appropriately
  • Respect intellectual property
  • Avoid conduct that disrupts learning or creates risk
  • Report safety concerns promptly

2. Respectful Communication

Communication must be appropriate for the audience and educational setting. Prohibited conduct includes:

  • Bullying, harassment, intimidation, stalking, hazing, or threats
  • Discriminatory slurs or targeted hostility
  • Sexual comments, grooming, exploitation, or boundary violations
  • Abusive, profane, humiliating, or degrading conduct
  • Retaliation against a person who reports a concern
  • Knowingly false accusations intended to harm
  • Repeated disruption, shouting, spamming, or refusal to follow safety instructions

Good-faith reports are protected even when an investigation does not substantiate the concern.

3. Virtual Classroom Conduct

Participants must:

  • Use the correct account and display name or approved nickname
  • Join from an appropriate environment when practicable
  • Keep backgrounds, clothing, language, and visible materials appropriate
  • Mute or use chat as directed
  • Avoid sharing meeting links or passwords
  • Avoid displaying another person without permission
  • Follow camera expectations and approved accommodations
  • Keep meals, side conversations, games, and unrelated devices from disrupting instruction

No participant may photograph, screenshot, record, livestream, or redistribute a session or another participant’s information without written authorization.

4. Minor-Adult Boundaries

  • Adults may communicate with minors only through authorized, observable Skhillz Academy channels.
  • Private adult-to-child messaging, disappearing messages, secret communications, and unauthorized social-media contact are prohibited.
  • Staff, contractors, volunteers, guests, and authors must not request personal contact information from a minor.
  • Parents or guardians should be copied or able to access communications concerning a minor.
  • Gifts, favors, transportation, meetings, or relationships outside the authorized program require prior approval and parent authorization.

5. Academic Integrity

Learners must submit their own work unless collaboration or assistance is authorized. Prohibited conduct includes plagiarism, impersonation, answer sharing, unauthorized use of test materials, fabricated participation, or misuse of AI tools.

AI may be used only as permitted by the instructor or assignment. When required, learners must disclose and appropriately cite AI assistance. Skhillz Academy may use restorative instruction, reassessment, loss of credit, or other proportionate responses.

6. Technology and Portal Use

Users may not:

  • Access another person’s account or restricted area
  • Share credentials outside the authorized household or organization
  • Upload malware, probe security, or evade safeguards
  • Scrape or mass-download content
  • Use bots or automated tools without authorization
  • Collect another user’s personal information
  • Post unlawful, infringing, explicit, hateful, violent, or dangerous material
  • Use a child-facing area for advertising, solicitation, fundraising, or recruitment
  • Use Skhillz Academy content to train a competing product or model

7. Learner Submissions and Community Features

Child profiles and work are private by default. Parent authorization is required before a child’s work is submitted for broader display.

Moderators may review, decline, edit identifying details, or remove a submission. Public comments and private member messaging should not be enabled for children unless a future safety-reviewed feature expressly permits them.

8. Physical Activities and Materials

Follow age labels, adult-supervision notices, allergy warnings, tool instructions, and safety rules. Participants may not use hazardous substitutes, weapons, flames, chemicals, or tools outside the activity instructions.

Parents and guardians decide whether an at-home activity is suitable and supervise as indicated.

9. Prohibited Commercial and Intellectual-Property Use

Membership content is for the licensed household, learner, classroom, or organization. Users may not resell, distribute, post publicly, remove branding, reproduce answer keys, share downloads in groups, or represent Skhillz Academy content as their own.

10. Parent and Guardian Conduct

Parents and guardians must:

  • Provide accurate information and lawful consent
  • Supervise minor participation as required
  • Communicate respectfully with staff and other families
  • Avoid disrupting instruction or confronting children
  • Use established complaint and safety channels
  • Maintain payment and contact information
  • Avoid coaching, completing, or falsifying a learner’s independent work

11. Staff, Contractor, Volunteer, and Guest Conduct

Covered adults must follow stricter safeguarding, confidentiality, screening, reporting, and professional-boundary requirements. This public Code does not replace the workforce handbook, contract, or safeguarding acknowledgment.

12. Reporting

Report immediate danger to local emergency services. Report suspected abuse, exploitation, grooming, or safeguarding concerns to safeguarding@skhillzacademy.org. Report general conduct concerns through the portal or support@skhillzacademy.org.

Reports should include available facts without conducting an independent investigation. Confidentiality will be protected as reasonably possible, but information may be shared with those who need it to respond.

13. Responses and Consequences

Depending on severity, age, context, history, safety, disability-related needs, and applicable law, responses may include:

  • Reminder, redirection, or restorative conversation
  • Parent or guardian notification
  • Content removal
  • Participation or behavior plan
  • Restricted feature access
  • Temporary removal from a session
  • Suspension
  • Administrative withdrawal or termination
  • Referral to a school, sponsor, platform, law enforcement, child-protection agency, or other authority

Serious safety threats may result in immediate action without progressive steps.

Removal does not automatically create a refund. The applicable financial policy and mandatory law govern.

14. Accommodations and Fair Process

Skhillz Academy considers disability, developmental level, communication needs, age, and other relevant factors. A person may request an accommodation or review. Safety measures may remain in place during review.

15. Acknowledgment

Adult users acknowledge this Code at registration or enrollment. Parents and guardians must review age-appropriate expectations with minor learners. Schools and organizations must communicate the Code to authorized users.
