Skhillz Academy, LLC is committed to providing people with disabilities meaningful and equitable access to our websites, portals, digital content, communications, programs, and services.

1. Our Standard

We are working toward conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA as our internal design and improvement target, while meeting applicable legal requirements.

Accessibility is an ongoing responsibility. Technology, content, vendors, and standards change, and not every item may be fully accessible at all times.

2. Measures We Use

Our accessibility efforts may include:

  • Semantic headings and logical reading order
  • Keyboard-accessible navigation and controls
  • Visible focus indicators
  • Sufficient color contrast
  • Text alternatives for meaningful images
  • Captions for prerecorded instructional video
  • Transcripts or alternative formats where appropriate
  • Form labels, instructions, and accessible error messages
  • Text resizing and responsive layouts
  • Avoidance of color-only instructions
  • Plain-language instructions
  • Accessible downloadable materials where practicable
  • Testing with automated tools and manual review
  • Accessibility requirements in vendor and content workflows
  • Staff and contractor awareness and training

Automated overlays or scans do not replace accessible design, manual testing, or user feedback.

3. Live Programs and Communications

Reasonable aids and modifications may include captions, transcripts, accessible documents, alternate participation methods, extended time, keyboard alternatives, or other individualized support when appropriate and feasible.

Requests should be made as early as possible. For a scheduled event, we recommend at least 10 business days’ notice when practicable, but a late request will still be considered.

4. Requesting an Accommodation

Contact accessibility@skhillzacademy.org and provide:

  • The program, page, document, or feature involved
  • The barrier encountered
  • The requested format or accommodation
  • Relevant deadline or event date
  • Preferred contact method

Medical documentation is not automatically required. We may request limited information when necessary to understand and provide an effective accommodation.

We aim to acknowledge accessibility requests within two business days and provide a substantive response or status update within ten business days, depending on complexity.

5. Third-Party Content

Some Services use third-party platforms, embedded media, payment systems, videoconferencing, or linked resources that we do not fully control. We seek accessible options and will work to provide a reasonable alternative when a third-party barrier prevents meaningful access.

6. Feedback and Problem Reports

We welcome specific accessibility feedback. Please identify the page address, device, browser, assistive technology, issue, and desired outcome when possible.

We prohibit retaliation against anyone requesting an accommodation or reporting an accessibility concern.

7. Formal Complaints

If an issue is not resolved through the initial request, ask for review by the Accessibility Coordinator. We will investigate, document the response, and communicate available next steps. This process does not limit any right provided by law.
