Skhillz Homeschool Pod

Four six-week cohorts of live STREAME sessions, Tuesdays and Thursdays in a small pod of children the same age, with a weekly Home Plan for the days in between.

Skhillz Homeschool Pod

$79.00

A place in a live group that runs on a calendar. You sign the membership agreement and we place your child in the pod for their age.

How many

You will be asked who is joining at checkout, and your account is made as you pay. Paying places each child in the pod for their age and gives them their own number to log in with.

What you need at home

Something that can join a video call
A computer, a tablet or a phone, with a camera, a microphone and an internet connection. Sessions are live on Tuesday and Thursday, and run 45 to 60 minutes depending on the age. They are recorded, so a child who misses one can watch it back.
Innovators, ages 11 to 13 and Leaders, ages 14 to 18: the same device free between sessions
About half an hour a day, for research, drafting and recording a rehearsal to watch back. It does not have to be their own device, but it does have to be free when they need it.
Explorers, ages 5 to 7 and Builders, ages 8 to 10: nothing else but the session
Everything in between is paper, crayons, cardboard, tape and things already in the kitchen. Whatever a week needs is named in the Monday plan seven days ahead, so there is nothing to buy in a hurry and nothing to buy at all.

One device is enough for the whole family. The pods meet one after another rather than at the same time (Explorers at 12:00 PM Eastern, Builders at 1:00 PM Eastern, Innovators at 2:30 PM Eastern and Leaders at 4:00 PM Eastern), so children in different bands are never on a call at the same moment.

More about it

A ten month membership for families who homeschool. Your child joins the pod for their age, ages 5 to 18, twelve children at most. Live twice a week from October 12 to May 28, a Home Plan every Monday, a Showcase once a month and a progress report each term. Skhillz stays supplemental enrichment and never becomes your child's school of record.
