Demo: sample questions and a shorter clock. Nothing is saved or sent.

The SAT Diagnostic
Before you begin
Welcome, here is how it works.
- 16 questions in about 18 minutes: Reading and Writing, then Math.
- Each section has two timed parts. How the first part goes decides whether the second is harder or easier. Do your best on both.
- The clock starts when you press Start, not before. You can take a five minute break between sections.
- Answer every question. A blank counts as wrong, so guess if you have to.
- You can mark a question for review, cross out choices, and jump to any question in the part you are on. Once a part is handed in, it cannot be reopened.
- Math has a reference sheet on screen. Use your own calculator for any Math question.
- Take it alone, in a quiet place, on a laptop or tablet if you can. The results are only useful if they are yours.
- If something comes up, close the tab. Your answers save, and you have 24 hours to finish.
This works on a phone, but a laptop or tablet is easier for long passages.
